Department Store Special -- Outfit #394E (1929) Lee left notes with many items. In 1940, he got these three cars from the "City of Paris" department store in San Francisco. Neiman Marcus is there now. Study the observation car. What's wrong with it? Lionel forgot to rubber stamp the car body, both above its windows and on its bottom. Compare it to the other two cars. Lionel unloaded many of its orphan items onto department stores.

Outfit #362 (1931) Lionel must have made a massive over run of 319 Maroon coaches back in 1925-27. They kept issuing them in various sets for years. This set is a prime example. The observation car is new (1931) production. The coach is one of the old 1925-27 ones with a new roof color and new window inserts. Note that it has the older litho wood-grain doors with large windows, while the observation has Ivory doors with small windows.

Need photos.

Outfit #392E (1930 Canada?) with Set Box -- In Canada, steam locos were Green. The loco frame, boiler and steam chests are in original paint. The loco cab and the tender have been restored. The cars are two-tone with Dark Green roofs. I believe that Peacock roofs would be better for a 1930 set.

Outfit #367E (1934 only) -- I don't have the proper copper-trim 385E for this set. Just a nickel-trim one. So this lot is for only the three cars.
